I wouldn't had imained how good place my own living room can be for watching fireworks. The image ca't even start to describe how pretty it was. :) I can see half the city from here and when clock turned to midnight the sky was filled with them just everywhere! Unfortunately I could only take a little peak behind the sheets I had hung to cover the scene from my other dog who is really afraid of loud noise, especially fireworks and gunshots.

I've seen a lot of photos like this in magazines and tried to copy the style. I think I did pretty well, considering it's taken inside in a room fully lit. A few water drops on the petals and it would of been perfect. :)

I think there's more snow here in the city than at my parents. It's usually not this way, but I don't mind this. It's easy to take photos since you don't need to use the flash and still can keep shutter speed at minimum. This is important when taking photos of the two outside, since there's not many moments they stay still enough to take a sharp image.

The two best console games. Spent pretty much the whole day playing Tekken, including a few online battles that were mostly very laggy and didn't turn out so well on my side. Must be the others are cheating, no way they'd beat me otherwice! Now every joint in both my hands feel like someone set them on fire or something. I have to play some slower games for a few days.

We spent the Christmas day just sitting inside, eating chocolate and playing all the new games. Once in a year there's no reason to go outside.

Made gingersnaps for Christmas today. Mostly dog shaped of course but also a few hearts. Most years I've made a gingerbread house with my sister but I uess this year we won't have time with me going over at my parents only one and half days before Christmas Eve.

Usually when the two start playing together, they stop the instance I take the camera out. Now I've managed to capture their playing twice inside a week! I guess they have realised I won't reward them for posing if they are playing. :)

I hang my christmas lights as everyone else is doing. For some reason though I only have one of them and even that one only has one led in it... Well, at least it's energy efficient rather than havin a hundred lamps around the house.

Finally had to change my bus ticket to the new one. I don't like it at all. It's not nearly as pretty as the previous and it doesn't work while inside my wallet.

We spent the whole weekend pretty much on Supreme Commander. We had some trouble defeating two difficult enemies at once with their Monkeybots, but finally came up with a working strategy and got a well deserved victory!

The insides of my computer. I bought some new memory, though I guess that's not the most important computer accessory I should get. Number one would propably be a new keyboard and second would be a new hard drive... But memory is much more exciting!

Listening to the oh-so-fun christmas show and looking at the dancing of people aged 60+ at the ship fun club. The best available entertainment found out to be imagining where all the people passing us were from and what their relations with each other were, as well as what kind of people they must of been. I guess judging from those images, we are doing pretty well in life! :P

The dog park near us is going to be removed and apartment houses built on it sometime in the next months or years. Depends on how long it can be postponed by complaints. I hope at least enough time for us to find another house with better availability to outdoor activities. Though this isn't as bad as I thought it would be when we moved here, I guess one just needs time to adjust and find the best places to go.

I was meant to take a picture of the new Flirt train going between Helsinki and Leppävaara, since I traveled with it to work today. I tested if it would be faster to go with that one instead of the faster train that skips most of the stations between but leaves 5 minutes later. It wasn't faster, since on the last stop that train passed us. Anyhow, my camera battery died before having change to take a single image, so this is the days art instead. Enjoy. I did.

Makin your own dinner is underestimated too much. Sure I like eating out, it's easy and usually good, but I wouldn't want to replace home made food entirely. It's actually pretty fun cooking your own recipes and not knowing exactly what you get. Every dinner is a suprise. :)

My brother playing Tekken 3 with the old Playstation. This is one game that never gets old. Tekken 3 and 5 are pretty much the same (haven't had a chance to try the six more than a couple of games in DigiExpo) but I miss Devil Jin <3 and being able to customize their costumes. I got to get my PS2 from my parents place soon.

I actually knitted my own socks... Huge work and the outcome may not be the best there is but none the less I think they are the best socks ever. Next time (for now I think there won't be a next time) I'll make a bit smaller socks though, I think I could fit three feet in one of these.

We went to see Inglourious Basterds, which I think was a fun movie. There was a Super-day at the theatre with tickets 5,50€ to all shows and unbelievable lines to the ticket stands. I had booked our tickets in advance but we were only just in time to cash them before they would of been released back for sale an hour before the show started.

Kind of a dragon, one of the best throwing toys for the kids. Yoda likes it especially, I guess he has a thing for little green creatures.
