These kept a constant music for us during our vacation in Rhodes island in Greece. There were probably billions of them in the trees.
Ice cream artwork. :) Cute.
Some building in the old town.
A bird was trying to lure us in a tavern - and was successfull.
A bird drink statue.
A beach close to our hotel.
Some of the old fortress walls.
Even the birds need a roof over their heads.
No one would see the trouble of building something like this these days, even with better equipment at hand!
An old amfitheatre.
The castle moat was dry for walking around.
A sight towards the main city of Rhodes.
This thing hasn't found himself a very good hiding place.
The grasshoppers camouflage is much better.
Water running down the hills.
The old temple of Apollo.
A close up shot of the butterfly.
More butterflies.
Some tired old crab.
From the valley of the butterflies.
A trap made for them.
There was a fly with glowing red eyes.
And some small lizards.
Beautifull scenery.
A lot of crabs everywhere in the forest.
But even more butterflies.
Water was so clear you could see through several dozen meters when snorkeling. There was a lot of fish and some black sea worms and shells.
A path down from a monastry on top of the mountain.
Ancient remnant of it's kind? It was actually working amusement park but we only saw some two people in it.
A sight from up another mountain.
A tiny spider waiting for it's prey.
We stumbled upon an old castle or monastery near Achiangelos city.
A sight towards Lindos and Acropolis hill.
A mule ride to Acropolis.
Some renovations had been made to preserve how it used to look like.
Old ruins.
A castle fortress.
From the town of Lindos. It was a beautifull place.
A sight from above all.
It looked like a bigger road in the map...
Small hideout and cooling place.
A sight towards the other islands of Greece.
A huge grasshopper jumped towards the car and broke its wing and leg. It travelled with us several miles before dropping down, poor (and scary) thing.
It was a good place for a tourist, as they had built some huge air cooleners in the top of the hill... ;)
Seven springs was supposed to remove all your phobias. It didn't work as we walked through a very dark and wet and narrow cave to see a lake and I was more scared than I had ever been in my life. I was certain it was the end of us.
I'm still not sure if the lake, no matter how pretty, was worth risking our lives like that.
More island scenery.
The ancient city of Kamiros.
Or what was left from it.
There was a tiny grasshopper, not nearly as scary as the one on the windshield.
Our city Faliraki during the night time.
